The first trailer for Project Hail Mary is finally here, and it’s bringing together a powerhouse team of creatives both in front of and behind the camera.

The film is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the duo best known for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, 21 & 22 Jump Street, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

This time, they’re adapting Andy Weir’s bestselling novel Project Hail Mary — the same author who brought us The Martian and Artemis.

The screenplay is penned by Drew Goddard, whose previous work includes Cloverfield, The Cabin in the Woods, and The Martian.

It also stars Ryan Gosling (Drive, Blade Runner 2049, Barbie) and Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall, The Zone of Interest), the film is already generating plenty of buzz — and for good reason.

A quick note of caution: the trailer runs close to three minutes and, according to early viewers, reveals quite a bit of the plot. So if you’d prefer to go in blind, you might want to hold off on watching.

Project Hail Mary launches in March 2026 and shaping up to be one of the most anticipated sci-fi films of the decade — and one you won’t want to miss.
